 Believing that Art can be a vital tool in the route to wellbeing means that we stand firmly at the centre of the arts and health arena. Fresh Canvas has a large portfolio of experience within the healthcare field. Within Mental Health settings, we have provided both long and short term programmes of Art activity both in hospital and in community settings. These included Stockport Arts on Prescription, which has been running for over 10 years and was the first of its kind in the country, Mia (Mums in Art), and projects through Start in Salford and LIME. Many of the projects have culminated in a permanent artwork for hospitals such as Wythenshawe Hospital, MRI, Withington Community Hospital and the Adolescent wards at Prestwich Hospital. |

A long residency on the Neuro Rehab Ward at Manchester Royal Infirmary proved challenging, as the sensitive approach to the patients was paramount along side finding new ways of engaging people using Art despite their individual disabilities. |
